The main motive for the study and research of this important and current phenomenon is to identify the challenges of economic development as our country is facing negative phenomena every day, such as corruption. Corruption as a phenomenon nowadays is undoubtedly very harmful to society. This comes from the fact that different individuals or groups put personal interests above general interests, which is in complete violation of applicable laws. A large number of economists have clarified that society is experiencing unfortunate consequences from corruption in general, because as it is now seen it is already among the main obstacles to the development of the country.
The study represents an important contribution to the enrichment of economic thought regarding this important social phenomenon. During the drafting of the paper, we used general historical and economic methods, the method of studying individual cases, observation, investigation, survey, interview, comparison and statistical method etc. Through these research methods and techniques we have managed to collect important data in identifying the challenges of economic development in the face of Corruption.
